What's happening in April?

DaMare had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled on April 2, 2015. He recovered quickly but has stitches in two of the sockets for two weeks. Not eating popcorn has been the hardest part for DaMare. He has been a trooper.

Deion had knee surgery the following day, April 3, 2015. He needed to have some frayed cartilage cleaned up. He was amazing... walked out of the hospital a few hours after surgery. Coming out of the fog of anesthesia Deion thought Derrick was The Hulk and thought I was "sparkly."

Spring Break 2015

Deion and I went on a little adventure today to The Great Plains Nature Center. We enjoyed a walk as we saw wildlife and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We are looking forward to a week of healthy living.

Hello Again!

It's been way to long, I know, I know... but a whole lot has been happening. LIFE! Here are a few pictures to update you where we all are.

PAY IT FORWARD...

http://www.lilblueboo.com/

This link will take you to a blog that I recently found that has inspired me to PAY IT FORWARD...
What have you done today to pay it forward?
How about:
  • smile at someone with a frown on their face
  • pay for the person behind you in a drive thru
  • or better yet, buy someone's gas
  • give the gift of scripture
  • wink at a child
  • speak kindly all day to your family
  • take your elderly neighbor a home cooked dinner
PAY IT FORWARD today and everyday!

Britt Nicole sings a song that I find to be incredibly encouraging and inspiring...
As of lately I have been feeling very uninspired and ungrateful. I heard this song today and it was as if my Lord gave me a new view of the world or should I say an old view. I have been a long time missionary at heart and this song speaks to this fire that is within me. Through the many trials that life brings I am still that same girl who wants to change the world for my Lord.
I would like to take this opportunity to Thank You GOD for giving me back that fire. You are my FIRE!
If you want to hear the music as you read the lyrics you can scroll down to the player at the bottom of this blog the song is called "Set my world on Fire" by Britt Nicole... Worth listening to!
I want to set the world on fire
Until its burning bright for you
It's everything that I desire
Can I be the one you use?
I, I am small but
You, You are big enough
I, I am weak but
You, You are strong enough
To take my dreams come and give them wings
Lord with you there is nothing I can not do
Nothing I can not do
I want to feed the hungry children
And reach across the farthest land
And tell the broken there is healing
And mercy in the Fathers hands
I, I am small but
You, You are big enough
I, I am weak but
You, You are strong enough
To take my dreams come and give them wings
Lord with you there is nothing I can not do
Take my dreams come and give them wings
Lord with you there is nothing I can not do
My heart
My feet
My life
My everything...
I want to set the world on fire
I want to set the world on fire
Take my dreams
Come and give them wings
Lord with you there is nothing I can not do
Take my dreams
Come and give them wings
Lord with you there is nothing I can't do
Nothing I can't do
I am going to set the world on fire
Set the world on fire...
